G'day! I'm Jernej Kavka (JK), a Microsoft AI MVP based in Brisbane, Australia.

I work across .NET, EF Core, Azure, AI, and agentic engineering, with a focus on performance and developer productivity. By day I work as a Solution Architect at SSW Consulting.

My interest in intelligent and AI-adjacent systems goes back to the early 2010s, including Kinect experiences, gesture engines, Cortana bots, and computer vision projects. In the late 2010s I got into ML.NET for personal finance experiments, and I was using GPT-3 for an email classification pet project months before ChatGPT was released — which became my talk at NDC Sydney 2022.

Outside of work, I spend a lot of my time in the community — speaking at conferences and user groups, and helping organise events like Brisbane Build Club and other developer meetups around Brisbane.
